Now is a good time to stock your freezer with premade burger pucks. They’ll come in handy on those days when you just need a quick grill option and don’t feel like making them from scratch or dont have the time. Frozen burger pucks can go straight from freezer to grill. This is my partial list. Most are mailorder so this is your cue to plan ahead. I’ve also included a national brand, run- to- the- store option I like, if you have unexpected guests dropping in. Leave a note and tell me what your favs are. I’d love to know.
#1 Lone Mountain Wagyu:
If you’re seeking an unparalleled, exclusive culinary experience, look no further than Lone Mountain Wagyu from GoldBelly. These are not your average cattle—they’re 100% full-blood Wagyu, a breed renowned for its exceptional marbling and tenderness. What sets this rancher apart is their unwavering dedication to quality, evident in the rigorous process of raising 100% full-blood Wagyu. Each animal is DNA-certified with a birth certificate and must prove three generations of Japanese parentage in its heritage.
#2 Master Purveyors:
If you haven’t heard of Master Purveyors, I know you’ve heard of some legendary New York restaurants that use this butcher. Master Purveyors supplies steaks and burgers to top-notch locations such as 21 Club, Smith & Wollensky, Peter Luger Steakhouse, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, and JG Melon, to name a few. This family legacy of butchers has a rich culinary history in New York and was founded in 1957 in New York’s Meatpacking District. Today, it is managed by the next generation of family, so you know the tradition of superiority continues. It is the perfect combination of prime chuck and sirloin with a juicy, sweet, beefy flavor. Their commitment to quality is evident in their meticulousness. It feels like old-school goodness—if you’re impressing guests, this might be the way to go.
#3 The Organic Meat Co. Organic Grass-Fed Beef:
The Organic Grass-Fed Beef Burgers contain only organic beef from grass-fed cows supplemented with organic, all-vegetarian feed. Found in the frozen section of responsible sourcing grocery outlets. The cattle live freely, with unrestricted access to organic outdoor pasture, and there are no antibiotics or hormones. The Organic Grass-Fed Beef Burgers from the Organic Meat Co. are the healthiest choice, in my opinion. Low in calories, 220 per serving, and low in sodium. Thanks to the animals’ pristine diet, they are preservative, casein-free, and have a low saturated content of just 6 grams in each patty. This product is USDA-certified, organic, non-GMO project verified, and carbon neutral certified. It cooks up thin, but this is actually how we should be eating, in moderation.
#4 Meyer Natural Angus Company:
From one of the biggest ranches in Montana’s Blackfoot River Valley, Meyer Natural Angus company’s Natural grass-fed Angus beef burgers are some of the best-frozen burgers on the market and are entirely accessible through Amazon. They cook up with a nice, deep, savory umami flavor but have an affordable price tag. You will be impressed. The beef is humanely raised, vegetarian-fed, and contains no hormones or antibiotics. You will find this burger in my freezer for a quick standby.
#5 Bubba Foods:
Fast, Cheap, and Easy. From the frozen section of your chain market or big box location. Bubba burgers come irregularly shaped instead of perfect rounds and feel handcrafted if you need a quick cheat. They cook up thicker than most frozen patties on the market and are juicy. A good, savory umami patty. Another reason why, And the most important to me, is that these frozen pucks have no artificial ingredients, additives, or preservatives. The downside is they are exceptionally high in fat and calories. The highest-calorie burger with 420 calories per patty and 15 grams of saturated fat. That’s why they are so delicious!
